The aim
of the project is to run a series of events
throughout 2007 which 'open the gate' to
real, working farms and crofts in the Highlands,
and welcome the public to visit for a day.
Food consumers, families, and in some locations
schools, will be able to:meet the farmer/crofter
and hear their story, see around the farm
and learn how the land is managed and food
is producedt,think about the food choices
they make and the impact it has on the environment
and local economy and join a group for the
day in tasting and celebrating Highland food.
2 events will be held in Lochaber and 3 in
Argyll. |
