The Sound of Mull pilot is a three phase project which will develop marine management through a cross border stakeholder regulator partnership which provides an opportunity for co-management. The funding application to LEADER+ relates to phase one of this project. Phase one will run for one year and will concentrate on gathering information, setting up the core group, carrying out the publicity and consultations and developing areas or research such as background studies into formal and informal management practises and sectoral interactions, developing methodologies for conducting an environmental capacity study, studying socio-economic profiles and carrying out consultation for the development of a marine spatial plan for the Sound of Mull.
