The aim of the project is to undertake the initial clearing work required to gain safe access to Tarbert Castle for the general public and to allow more specialised survey work to be undertaken to gather the information required to prepare a sustainable long term development, access and care plan. The work will be carried out by a mixure of volunteers and professional operators. A maintainance plan is currently being drawn up. The project falls under both M4 and M4 and fulfills target output Environmental Improvements. Match funding is in place.
