Cattle are an important component in the economy of Tiree and are essential in maintaining the unique island environment and assoicaited biodiversity.
The aim of the project is to raise awareness of a cattle health initiative on the island which aspires to imporve the quaity of beef produced on the island, create a Tiree brand in the future and premium prices for cattle producers. This will have the added benefit of increasing the sustainability of the islands
economy and lessen the risk of cattle numbers dropping below the level required to maintain the existing environment.
